RoboCon 2011 was a big hit! The weather was beautiful and so were the robots.
This was the first year Robocon was expanded into a separate, larger room on the ground floor of the convention. It wasn't big enough. Charlie started calling people from all over the country to bring out their robots and they did.
Builders also came, from everywhere.
Mike Handley came out from Perth, Australia to join in the fun! Many others made a long trip, especially with robots in tow.
Craig Reinbrecht brought his amazing B9 which can be operated from inside, just like the original and Greg Logue, as always, came in from South Dakota with his animatronic B9 -- certainly a crowd pleaser! We also saw a few new robots in the room this year, including many from the R2Builders who joined in the new space. Cal and Kathy Pierce brought along their R2, MSE, Scrubber and the talking head of C-3P0 - wow!
Here are a few pictures from the event:

Morena Baccarin "Anna" of V, came by to see the robots. She is seen here with Craig Reinbrecht and his B9.
